For both situation and quality, Allt Mor Cottage can hardly be bettered. It stands on the quiet country road which runs round Loch Leven, yet is just 4 miles from the main A82 between Oban and Fort William at Ballachulish. The detached cottage stands in its own garden ground, with parking and patio area (furniture, barbecue). It faces south, so is bright and sunny, and the views across the loch towards the mountains of Glencoe are quite stunning.

The owner has lived here herself until deciding to offer All Mor for holiday letting, so guests can be assured that the house offers maximum comfort. The living area is open plan and there is an open fire in the sitting part. With oil fired central heating and double glazing the house is snug all year round. The kitchen is well-fitted with all appliances. Double and twin bedrooms and a bathroom complete the accommodation.

There is an excellent seafood restaurant just a mile from the cottage, while Ballachulish and nearby Onich have hotels and shops. The Ardgour Ferry plies from Onich over to Ardnamurchan, perfectly feasible for a day trip. There is a golf course at Ballachulish, riding about 10 miles down the road at Lettershuna in Appin, and from Port Appin you can bag another island by taking the foot ferry over to Lismore.

Fort William, 12 miles to the north, has all facilities, including boat trips on Loch Linnhe to see the basking seals, steam train rides out to Mallaig, and, of course, famous Ben Nevis if you are up for something more strenuous. No need to go even that far, however, as Glencoe is within a 15 minute drive of the cottage. Mountain bikers will find world-class trails at Aonach Mor, which is also a popular ski-ing resort. The Ice Factor at Kinlochleven (8m) is another popular attraction all year round, offering rock and ice walls, sauna, childrens' play area, bistro, pub etc.

Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity are all included. One well-behaved dog is welcome by arrangement under strict control. Sorry, no cats. Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
